Of course, by now everyone knows that the House of Representatives have rejected the $700,000,000,000 Wall Street bail-out bill, and as expected, the markets have started their sickening plunge. It would seem that all bets are off.
Taking a page from the John McCain playbook, the staff and management here at OMT met in closed session earlier today and considered the possibility of suspending this blog so that we can fly to Washington and deal with this crisis.
Fortunately, the proposal was defeated.
You can count on us to be here throughout the dark times ahead, as we count the days until Bush is finally and permanently driven from office.
Come January, Barack Obama will have been elected President, and the monstrous task of putting America back on its feet again will begin in earnest.
That is, unless Bush amputates America’s feet in his final act.
We wouldn’t put it past him.
Oh, and if you’re not already pissed off enough about what Bush has done to America, let us just remind you that he’s going to get away with it. There will be no accounting.
